Melina Farhadian was born and raised in Iran and joined the De Leon Lab in February 2026, where she works as an undergraduate research assistant. She is currently a student at the University of California, Berkeley and expects to graduate in 2027 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a minor in Global Public Health.
Melina is particularly interested in neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer’s disease. Following her time at UC Berkeley, she plans to attend medical school and pursue a career in neurology.
